LDPB meeting summary February 2023

A member of the Illegal Money Team spoke to Board members about loan sharks; also known as illegal money lenders. He gave advice on how to seek help from the team and explained that there were free resources in different languages and formats on their website to start initial conversations with people who you may have worries about being potential victims.

An occupational therapist from the Independent Living Centre gave a presentation on TECS. TECS is short for Technology Enabled Care and Support. He talked about a range of equipment that people could use to keep themselves safe and to support their independence.
