Of particular note are the summer Tench and winter Pike and Perch fishing. An excellent mixed fishery presenting a good challenge to anglers of all abilities with plenty of opportunities to find a quiet spot and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Angling platforms, are located at various points through the park, allowing suitable, safe access for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/grandwesterncanal\/information-for-disabled-visitors\/\">less-abled<\/a> angler.<\/p>\n<p>Angling rights on the Grand Western Canal are leased to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tivertonanglingclub.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiverton and District Angling Club<\/a>. To fish on the canal you must have both an Environment Agency Rod Licence and a Tiverton and District Angling Club Licence.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Environment Agency Rod Licence<\/h3>\n<p>You must have a rod fishing licence if you\u2019re fishing for freshwater fish with a rod and line on the Grand Western Canal.\u00a0You can get a fine of up to \u00a32,500 if you\u2019re fishing in these areas and cannot show a valid rod fishing licence when asked.<\/p>\n<p>Children under 13 do not need a licence.\u00a0Licences for children aged between 13 and 16 are free.
