The aim of the funding is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>breathe new life into local spaces: upgrade and revitalise buildings and outdoor areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bring people together: reduce social isolation and foster a strong sense of belonging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>secure the future: ensure vital local services remain open and accessible for generations to come<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registered charities can apply for a grant of up to \u00a320,000 to help them to provide their place-based services to communities. This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>open access spaces (village halls, community centres, sports facilities, community gardens)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>disability and therapeutic centres (riding for disabled people, day centres)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>youth and education (mainstream school PTAs, SEND facilities, play areas, uniformed groups)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>targeted crisis support (women\u2019s refuges, homeless shelters, rehabilitation centres)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>health and wellbeing (hospital charities, bereavement support)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>isolation and cohesion (warm hubs, men\u2019s sheds, elderly services)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funding is for capital improvements that improve, enhance or protect spaces where these services are offered. This can include renovations and upgrades, small-scale construction, equipment and installations, and transforming outdoor areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only registered charities can apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Morrisons Foundation does not make contributions towards projects that cost more than \u00a320,000 in total to deliver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Morrisons Foundation provides capital grants to support the improvement and development of services and facilities through its Connecting Communities programme.
