{"id":5796,"date":"2026-08-04T16:23:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews\/?post_type=tb_fund&#038;p=5796"},"modified":"2026-08-04T16:23:16","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:23:16","slug":"gw-shift-challenge-fund","status":"publish","type":"tb_fund","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews\/fund\/gw-shift-challenge-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"GW-Shift Challenge Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GW-Shift Challenge Fund is for projects that support the shift towards a green economy in the South West of England and South Wales through adoption of hydrogen and hydrogen-related technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funding is available to help local authorities and other public-sector partners to define real place-based challenges and work with academic teams to develop short, practical projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projects should take no longer than 9 months and can include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>developing low carbon energy plans around low-carbon hydrogen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>feasibility studies, technical validation, proof-of-principle or early-stage demonstrator planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>market validation, supply-chain analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>policy work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>data mapping and modelling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The maximum funding available is \u00a350,000 per project, supporting up to five challenge-led projects. There is an additional discretionary fund of up to \u00a310,000 per project to support public engagement activities should this be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projects should have at least one external partner from civic, local authority, or public-sector body working with an academic team.
