This funding is for large-scale initiatives taking place across at least two regions of England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community leaders are defined as \u201csomeone who mobilises people, ideas or resources to create positive change for their community\u201d. They are grassroots leaders, rather than formally appointed leaders of institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of Change Makers is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enable community leaders to shape the future of their communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>involve community leaders across communities and organisations &#8211; including those from under-represented groups and those with lived experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>help community leaders make an impact on wider systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>share learning within the sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NLCF is offering grants of between \u00a31m and \u00a35m for 5-year projects run by charities or other organisations from the voluntary and community sector, colleges or universities, or public bodies. Applications can be made by a single organisation or by a partnership.
