{"id":5662,"date":"2026-06-01T11:09:03","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews\/?post_type=tb_fund&#038;p=5662"},"modified":"2026-06-01T11:09:05","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:09:05","slug":"henry-smith-foundation","status":"publish","type":"tb_fund","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews\/fund\/henry-smith-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Henry Smith Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Henry Smith Foundation (formerly the Henry Smith Charity) provides grants through a series of funds that relate to the themes of its strategy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Getting started \u2013 supporting families to give their young children a strong start<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building independence \u2013 helping young people aged 14 -25 to move into adulthood with confidence, skills and hope<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safer futures \u2013 supporting people to rebuild their lives after abuse, displacement or prison<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds currently open \/ opening soon are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Proud Homes<\/strong> \u2013 for organisations supporting young LGBT+ people facing or experiencing homelessness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equity in Justice Fund<\/strong> \u2013 for organisations supporting young men from minority ethnic groups who are in contact with the criminal justice system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Early Years Parenting Fund<\/strong> \u2013 for organisations that improve the development of children most at risk of poor early childhood outcomes. The funding is for organisations working with parents with children aged 0 to 5 from Black, Pakistani, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and\/or living in areas ranked within the most deprived 20% nationally.<br><br>The Henry Smith Foundation also continues to provide funding under existing programmes, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Holiday Grants<\/strong><br>Schools, youth groups and not-for-profit organisations can also apply to the Henry Smith Foundation for a grant of up to \u00a33,000 towards the costs of recreational trips for disadvantaged children.
