For 2026, the focus is on pilots that make it easier for households to recycle small electrical items at convenient drop-off points such as on-street \u2018bring banks\u2019 and community drop-off points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local authorities and other registered not-for-profit organisations can apply for up to \u00a3100,000 to introduce or expand a pilot project that would not go ahead without this grant. The funding is capped at \u00a30.50 per household receiving the service and can be spent on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>buying new bins or collection points<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>renting vehicles for electricals collections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>installing bins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communication and marketing activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>staffing costs for time spent planning and delivering the pilot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>collection costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The fund is open to established community-sector organisations &#8211; such as registered charities and local authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Electricals Recycling Fund has \u00a31million available to support practical approaches to collecting and recycling unwanted electricals.
