The scheme is open to all levels of education supporting students aged 5 to 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the scheme is to help students to develop key skills, including research, problem solving and data-handling skills as well as raising awareness of STEM careers opportunities and helping schools to make links with STEM professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools and colleges can apply for up to \u00a33,000 to assist with a specific STEM research project. Projects must involve at least two partners: (1) the school partner \u00a0&#8211; a UK school or college &#8211; and (2) a STEM professional from academia or industry.
