The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest UK grant-making foundations, supporting charities across the UK with donations totalling around \u00a3100m each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most grants from the foundation are in the range of \u00a310,000 to \u00a350,000 but smaller and larger grants can be awarded, including major grants of over \u00a3100,000. The grants can be for your organisation\u2019s running costs, for a specific activity or for capital projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The foundation provides grants to charities that are making a positive difference through the following themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arts<\/strong> \u2013 including theatre companies, orchestras and bands, choirs, dance groups, literature and visual arts<\/p>\n\n\n\n Community<\/strong> \u2013 including village halls, community transport, volunteer groups, foodbanks<\/p>\n\n\n\n Education<\/strong> \u2013 including schools and PTAs<\/p>\n\n\n\n Environment<\/strong> \u2013 including rewilding projects, marine conservation, nature reserves<\/p>\n\n\n\n Faith<\/strong> \u2013 churches<\/p>\n\n\n\n Health<\/strong> \u2013 charities supporting mental and physical health and people with sensory disabilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n Museums and heritage<\/strong> \u2013 including local heritage centres and museums<\/p>\n\n\n\n Welfare<\/strong> \u2013 including organisations supporting people facing challenging circumstances eg. homelessness, bereavement, carers, ex-offenders, sexual abuse<\/p>\n\n\n\n Youth<\/strong> \u2013 including young carers, scouts, sports, youth clubs<\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications are accepted from UK registered charities, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and organisations that are exempt and excepted under Charity Commission guidance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest UK grant-making foundations, supporting charities across the UK with donations totalling around \u00a3100m each year.
