The funding is intended for activities that will have positive social, economic and\/or environmental impacts on the area. There is a particular focus on education, training and skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme objectives are:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support climate change mitigation and adaptation<br>&#8211; community education on sustainable practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote a just transition<br>&#8211; encourage and promote skills, education and training in climate solutions<br>&#8211; reskill or upskill people for jobs in climate solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote general skills development<br>&#8211; encourage and promote skills and training for local people<br>&#8211; provide training and development for employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve local education<br>&#8211; create educational initiatives that relate to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics<br>&#8211; create educational activities for the community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve mental health and wellbeing<br>&#8211; bring the community together<br>&#8211; reduce isolation and loneliness<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registered charities, CICs, charitable trusts, academic institutions, charitable companies and unincorporated organisations can apply for grants up to \u00a33,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not-for-profit organisations in South West England can apply for funding from the NextEnergy Solar Impact Fund.
