It also supports work to improve access to education or the quality of education for children and young people from marginalised or low-income communities or displaced by conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation\u2019s Main Fund supports UK and international projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UK<\/strong> &#8211; the foundation supports work that improves the educational outcomes and life chances of care experienced young people (under the age of 25\u00a0and living in the UK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grants are between&nbsp;\u00a330,000\u202fto\u202f\u00a390,000&nbsp;per project\u202f(maximum \u00a330,000 per year for multi year projects) for projects which work with either care experienced young people, their carers or education professionals to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improve access to educational opportunity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve educational outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve life chances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>International<\/strong> &#8211; for work that improves the quality, sustainability, and access to education\u00a0for young people up to the age of 25 within\u00a0marginalised and deprived communities worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that the criteria for international projects may change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding is available for new or pilot projects and the Educational Opportunity Foundation will fund between 25% and 100% of the total project costs but will give preference to projects that are being match funded to some degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UK registered charities with an income normally between \u00a325,000 and \u00a32.5 million can apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Educational Opportunity Foundation supports education projects in the UK for those who have experience of living in care.
