Defra awards FIP funding through a series of competitions, in partnership with UK Research &amp; Innovation (UKRI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three upcoming FIP competitions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Feasibility Studies: to check if a research idea works in practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small Research &amp; Development Partnerships: funding to develop new farming products or services that improve farming methods, increase productivity and help the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Feasibility Studies and R&amp;D Partnerships need to be led by a UK-registered business working in collaboration with other businesses and research organisations).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ADOPT: \u00a0for collaborative farmer-led, on-farm trials or experiments to generate, test and demonstrate innovative solutions to farming challenges.
