To support this aim, the foundation provides grants to not-for-profit organisations that are committed to mitigating the digital divide.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are accepted from registered charities, not-for-profit organisations (including Community Interest Companies (CICs) that are limited by guarantee but excluding CICs limited by shares). Organisations with a strong connection to the Access Foundation \u2013 either through their \u2018Charity of the Year\u2019 initiative or through an emotional connection with a \u00a0member of staff \u2013 will be favoured.<\/p>\n<p>Grants will normally be between \u00a325,000 and \u00a3100,000 and projects are generally expected to be completed within 12 months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the key aims of the Access Foundation is to mitigate the digital divide by making computing facilities, support and learning available to disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
