This includes the County Grants Fund and a new Grass Pitch Improvement Fund to tackle inequalities by providing improved access to good quality, safe playing facilities for targeted groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>County Grants Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clubs can apply for between \u00a31,000 and \u00a310,000 for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating welcoming environments\u00a0\u2013 open to affiliated cricket clubs registered for All Stars or Dynamos, or actively involved with women\u2019s and girls\u2019 cricket and\/or disability cricket.<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced facilities and playing opportunities for women\u2019s and girls\u2019 cricket and\/or disability cricket\u00a0\u2013 open to affiliated cricket clubs actively engaged in competitive female only cricket<\/li>\n<li>Tackling climate change\u00a0\u2013 open to any affiliated cricket clubs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grass Pitch Improvement Fund (GPIF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clubs can apply for funding to improve access to good quality, safe playing facilities for targeted groups. The priority groups are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women&#8217;s and girls&#8217; cricket<\/li>\n<li>Cricket in diverse communities<\/li>\n<li>Disability cricket<\/li>\n<li>Low socio-economic groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For investment in three main areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improving the quality of squares and outfields (for grass pitches rated &#8216;unsuitable&#8217; or &#8216;basic&#8217; to improve to at least &#8216;good&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>creating sustainable management of sites (through irrigation and machinery improvements)<\/li>\n<li>installing hybrid pitches to increase playing capacity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications will be accepted from cricket clubs and other organisations affiliated to the ECB via their local CCB or CF. You will need to arrange for a County Pitch Adviser to conduct a site visit to assess the current Performance Quality Standard of the pitch: only organisations that receive ratings of &#8216;unsuitable&#8217; or &#8216;basic&#8217; will be able to apply for GPIF funding.<\/p>\n<p>Grant amounts will be determined on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Funding is available to support ECB affiliated cricket clubs to improve their pitches, facilities and playing opportunities.
