{"id":3954,"date":"2024-07-16T16:18:49","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T15:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews-new\/?post_type=tb_fund&#038;p=3954"},"modified":"2024-12-24T09:57:52","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T09:57:52","slug":"weavers-company-benevolent-fund","status":"publish","type":"tb_fund","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/fundingnews\/fund\/weavers-company-benevolent-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Weavers&#8217; Company Benevolent Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Weavers\u2019 Company Benevolent Fund makes charitable grants to support people in trouble, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders, as well as other disadvantaged young people.<\/p>\n<p>Funding is available for work that falls within one of the following three themes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Supporting offenders into work \u2013 for projects supporting offenders and ex-offenders to build skills and capability to get into sustainable work<\/li>\n<li>Helping specific groups within the criminal justice system \u2013 to support charities that are working with groups that tend to be less popular with funders<\/li>\n<li>Supporting young people \u2013 for projects that work with young people (aged up to 25) from disadvantaged and socio-economically challenged groups<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The preference is to provide funding to help get new projects started, particularly if they are innovative and can serve as a model elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>There are two levels of funding: small grants (up to \u00a35,000) and main grants (mostly up to \u00a310,000 with some grants of \u00a315,000).<\/p>\n<p>UK registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs) can apply.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Weavers\u2019 Company Benevolent Fund makes charitable grants to support people in trouble, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders, as well as other disadvantaged young people.
