The foundation aims to fund projects that make a difference, have an impact on people\u2019s lives and can evidence the difference they are making.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation provides revenue and capital funding for projects that meet one or more of the following priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>victims of modern slavery<\/li>\n<li>victims of domestic abuse<\/li>\n<li>ex-offenders and their families<\/li>\n<li>homelessness<\/li>\n<li>medical research<\/li>\n<li>support for people with terminal illnesses \/ life limiting conditions and their carers<\/li>\n<li>drug and substance misuse<\/li>\n<li>support for people with intellectual disability<\/li>\n<li>care leavers<\/li>\n<li>worship and associated community outreach<\/li>\n<li>amateur sport (with a focus on sport provision for people with disabilities)<\/li>\n<li>care for the elderly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim is: to improve facilities; to help build mental health and wellbeing; to improve confidence, self-esteem and skills; to improve life chances; and to support the development of drugs to cure\/alleviate the symptoms of life-limiting or debilitating conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Most grants are in the range of \u00a320,000 to \u00a350,000 with some larger grants including funding for up to 3 years.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are accepted from\u00a0registered charities\u00a0or\u00a0Roman Catholic Diocesan charities registered with the Charity Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation supports a wide range of charities with grants to help change the lives of people most in need.
