The foundation uses the term ACEs to include traumatic events that have an adverse impact on a young person\u2019s life including abuse, neglect, domestic abuse and issues affecting close family members such as serving time in prison, mental illness and substance misuse.<\/p>\n<p>Registered charities and CIOs with an annual income of between \u00a3200,000 and \u00a32m can apply for up to four years funding of \u00a320,000 to \u00a325,000 a year. This is for charities whose core focus is on preventing the occurrence of and\/or support recovery from ACEs by providing services to children and young people and\/or adult survivors in recovery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Small Grants<\/strong> &#8211; this is a rolling funding programme for one-off grants of up to \u00a35,000 for organisations making a difference in people\u2019s lives. Registered charities and CIOs operating in a geographical area of deprivation in the UK can apply for a grant to deliver activities to meet an identified need for vulnerable members of the community.<\/p>\n<p>There are regular application windows throughout the year for small grants: each window closes when 45 applications have been received.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Leathersellers\u2019 Foundation provides grants for charities in the UK through its Main Grants and Small Grants programmes.
