The HHF also supports the conservation of works of art in historic house collections open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Charities, institutions, local authorities and individuals who own historic houses can apply for funding. There must a compelling need for the work and it needs to be a major restoration or conservation project on a historic building with public access.
