You must display a high level of skill in your chosen field and have a strong connection to the appropriate materials, technical skills and processes. The aim is to contribute to excellence in the British craft sector.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarships are intended to support talented craftspeople to undertake:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>traditional college courses<\/li>\n<li>further education (e.g. an MA or practice-led PhD)<\/li>\n<li>a series of short courses<\/li>\n<li>one-to-one training with a master craftsperson<\/li>\n<li>a bespoke programme of training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also use some of the funding towards associated costs such as travel and accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>QEST holds two application rounds a year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications for the Spring round open in January and close in February<\/li>\n<li>Applications for the Autumn round open in July and close in August<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Talented craftspeople and makers who wish to develop advanced skills in contemporary or traditional crafts can apply to the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust for a scholarship of up to \u00a318,000.
