It is open to applications for grants towards both the design and construction of features installed in the school estate to reduce flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fund covers a wide range of interventions, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Small schemes that have minimal design\/engineering eg. small, medium and large downpipe planters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medium schemes eg. medium sized planters, small rain gardens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large schemes that require significant design and engineering eg. swales, re-landscaping and medium to large rain gardens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications can be made by any state-funded school, voluntary-aided school, Lead Local Flood Authority (Devon County Council), water company or non-profit organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The grant can only cover up to 50% of eligible costs and match funding is therefore required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This funding opportunity is for projects to reduce the risk of surface-water flooding to schools.
