Grants are available for organisations that support children and young people facing barriers to make, learn or earn in music. The Youth Music Trailblazer Fund provides grants of £2,000 to £30,000 for initiatives that help to make music more accessible.
Your work must meet one of the following themes:
- early years
- disabled, d/Deaf and neuro-divergent young people
- youth justice system
- young people facing barriers
- young adults
- organisations and the workforce
Projects can offer music making, learning, or earning – or a combination of all three. Trailblazer grants can now be used to sustain a grassroots programme, as well as to test and trial new ways of working. Children and young people should be involved in the planning and ongoing development of your project.
For Trailblazer Fund, you need 10% total match funding or higher and at least 5% must be cash match funding.
UK constituted organisations can apply to the Trailblazer Fund. Note that schools, sole traders and individuals are not eligible to apply.
