Fund title: Theatre Reopening Fund
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants of up to £5,000 to help not-for-profit theatres across the UK to make Covid-19-related adaptions and prepare for reopening
The scheme will run on a rolling basis throughout 2020
The Theatres Trust has repurposed their small grants schemes to support theatres to cover the additional costs of reopening after several months’ closure.
Theatres that have a charitable or not-for-profit legal structure can apply for grants up to £5,000. The funding can be used towards the costs of improving buildings and purchasing equipment that will support the theatre to be able to open viably and safely. This might include changes to circulation spaces to enable social distancing or the installation of Perspex screens and sanitisation points.
The Theatres Trust is encouraging theatres to get in touch with them to discuss the project / work before applying.
