Fund title: T-Level Placements: Employer Incentive Payments
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Employers can claim £1,000 for every T Level student they host on a high-quality industry placement between 27 May 2021 and 31 July 2022
Placements must start by 31 July 2022
T Levels are a new technical programme for 16 to 19-year-olds, that are the equivalent to three A Levels. Each T-level course includes an industry placement of at least 45 days where students will build the knowledge and skills and develop the confidence they need in a workplace environment.
Employers across England can now access funding for every T-Level student placement they host on a high-quality industry placement. This is a short-term response to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic to help employers with the delivery of placements. Employers that have been impacted by the pandemic can claim £1,000 for every T-Level student hosted.
To be eligible to claim for an incentive payment, employers need to have committed to working with their local school or college to deliver a high-quality industry placement and this placement must have an agreed a start date between 27 May 2021 and 31 July 2022.
