The South West Energy Hub works with organisations and communities across the South West to identify, develop and implement low-carbon energy projects.
It works with not-for-profit organisations and the public sector, providing support for community-led schemes through to strategic regional energy projects. This includes low carbon electricity and heat generation, energy for low-carbon vehicles, home energy retrofitting and energy infrastructure.
The South West Energy Hub supports local groups to attract funding for energy projects. It is also the first point of call in our region for the Rural Community Energy Fund: this provides grants to cover feasibility studies and development costs for community renewable energy projects in rural areas.
If your community group is planning the installation of a renewable or low carbon energy facility in a rural area, contact the South West Energy Hub for advice. You may able to get a grant of up to £40,000 for feasibility work and up to £100,000 in development funding if your project has a high chance of success.
