Fund title: Self Employment Income Support Scheme: Fourth Grant
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants for self-employed people who have a loss of earnings due to coronavirus. The scheme will continue until September 2021.
The fourth grant can be claimed between mid April and 31 May 2021
The Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) allows people who are self employed to claim a grant to make up for a loss of profits as a result of coronavirus.
The scheme has so far offered grants in three instalments to self-employed people and this is the fourth grant, covering February to April 2021.
The fourth grant will be set at 80% of 3 months’ average trading profits, paid out in a single instalment, capped at £7,500. Eligibility for the scheme will now be based on your tax return for 2019 to 2020 and will also be open to those who became self-employed in tax year 2019 to 2020. The rest of the eligibility criteria remain unchanged.
There will be a fifth and final SEISS grant covering May to September 2021.
