The Restart Grant is a new fund for business owners, helping them through what is hoped will be the final stages of Covid-19 restrictions. It replaces the previous Local Restrictions Support Grants which closed at the end of March.
The Restart Grant is a one-off cash grant for non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses in England. Non-essential retail businesses is opening up first, so they will receive grants of up to £6,000 per premises. Hospitality and leisure businesses, including personal care and gyms, will open later, or be more impacted by restrictions when they do, so will be given grants of up to £18,000.
The level of grant will depend on the rateable value of your premises.
These grants will be distributed by the District Councils in Devon and they are currently waiting for guidance from government before they can provide further information.
