Support and grants to help reinvigorate community networks and improve health and well-being isolated rural areas by improving community assets and services.
Applications may be made at any time
This is a dedicated programme of support which seeks to reach out and engage with up to 10 rural communities annually to help deliver and reinvigorate community assets and services. The focus is on tackling isolation and improving the health and wellbeing of people living in sparsely populated areas.
The Rural Four – Catalyst, Collaborate, Create and Champion – provides support and guidance to communities so that they can learn from and work with others to develop their plans for projects that reinvigorate and restore vital assets. Funding is then provided to those that meet the eligibility criteria so that they can make changes.
Funding of up to £25,000 is available. Applications will be accepted from charities, Community Benefit Societies, Community Interest Companies, Companies limited by guarantee, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and unincorporated associations with proven success of the community working together and a governance structure in place.
