The National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) has launched a new fund to provide project grants to support any heritage asset which is of outstanding importance to the national heritage and at risk due to the impact of coronavirus.
Funding is intended to support any heritage asset which may be at risk, including:
- works of fine and decorative art
- museum collections
- items of industrial, transport and maritime heritage
- historic buildings and land.
Grants can be used towards the costs of acquisition/purchase, transport, interim storage, urgent conservation work, surveys, cataloguing, professional fees, transfer of ownership and organisational development.
Applications will be accepted from charities, non-profit organisations and public sector organisations with responsibility for an asset of outstanding importance to the UK’s national heritage which is at risk due to the impact of COVID-19.
