The aim of Kaleidoscope Investments is to empower disabled entrepreneurs who wish to start their own business as a private limited company, a social enterprise or a charity/not for profit organisation. The programme is for disabled entrepreneurs or people setting up a business with a disability-related purpose.
KI provides investment and mentoring for start-ups at three different levels:
- £5,000 to £50,000 – a mix of equity and debt for businesses that have high potential
- £50,000 to £250,000 – investments via equity and debt for businesses that are established and have high potential
- £1,000 to £5,000 – grants for micro businesses
In return for making an investment into a business a small negotiable equity stake will be taken.
