Fund title: Foyle School Library Scheme
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants for schools to buy books and other resources to enhance their school library
Applications may be submitted at any time
State-funded schools in the UK can apply to the Foyle School Library Scheme for grants to support their school library.
The majority of funds will be provided for the purchase of reading books for the library – grants are not available for textbooks or curriculum books. The foundation will also consider contributions towards library software, necessary IT equipment and furniture in order to create a suitable library space.
In the light of the COVID-19 situation, the Foyle Foundation will also consider requests for e-readers and electronic reading resources, but there must be a strong case for support and schools will need to explain why they need these.
Priority is given to primary schools although secondary schools and sixth-form colleges can also apply. Establishments for nursery/early years only are not eligible.
Schools can apply for between £1,000 and £10,000.
