Fund description:
Exeter Board Community Grant
This joint fund from Devon County Council and Exeter City Council supports projects which benefit communities in Exeter. The board will consider applications from voluntary/community groups or statutory organisations for one-off capital or revenue grants. The total funding available for 2017/18 is £57,543. Applications from community-led groups will be viewed positively, as will projects which encourage innovation and enterprise, and initiatives which promote collaboration with other groups in Exeter.
2017/18 deadlines: 4 July, 24 August, 19 October, 1 January, 15 February
Community Grants
Community grants are available for initiatives that encourage and support residents and community groups in Exeter to build a stronger community and encourage greater involvement in community activities. Funding can be used for small capital expenditure or to contribute towards revenue costs to help start a new initiative. Community groups and organisations can apply for a Ward grant (up to £300 for activity taking place within one Exeter City ward) or a City grant (up to £2,000 for city-wide activities).
Applications for Ward Grants can be made at any time; the next deadlines for City Grants are 14 September 2017 and 13 February 2018
Small Arts Grant Scheme
To stimulate arts projects which will benefit Exeter and increase its artistic vitality. The scheme awards small arts grants to artists, arts organisations, community groups and promoters. This year the maximum grant award has increased to £1,000.
The next deadlines are 6 September 2017 and 7 March 2018
Exeter Sports Fund
The Exeter Sports Fund is a partnership between Exeter City Council, Exeter City Football in the Community, Active Devon and the Express & Echo. It aims to help sports clubs and individuals in Exeter and the surrounding areas improve and develop their sporting facilities and performance.
The next deadlines are 4 July 2017, 10 October 2017 , 16 January 2018, 10 April 2018
Exeter City Council also offers the Disabled Facilities Grant which is available throughout England via local councils.
