Fund title: Edward Gostling Foundation
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants for charities that support people of all ages living on low incomes who have a physical and/or mental disability or long-term illness
Applications may be submitted at any time
The Edward Gostling Foundation provides grants to registered charities that work to enhance the quality of life of people in need in the UK and, particularly, those on a low income who have a physical and/or mental disability or long-term illness.
Applications must support one of the Foundation’s four themes:
Health & wellbeing: support for community-based services that maintain, improve and advance the health and welfare of people living with disabilities and/or long-term illnesses
Independent living at home: funding to support people who wish to remain living in their own home for as long as possible
Respite: support for charities providing facilities in the UK where either the person living with a disability and/or long-term illness or a family care-giver can go to access sports and leisure activities
Transition: grants that support people through education, training or personal development into employment, long-term volunteering or other meaningful day time activity, leading to independence, affordable housing and/or supported living
Grants are made for specific projects. The Foundation prioritises its Small Grants programme (grants up to £5,000); there is also a Large Grants programme (mostly between £10,000 and £50,000).
