Fund title: Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants to support cultural organisations with the costs they will face as they welcome back visitors later in 2021
26 January 2021
The Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage is part of the £1.57 billion rescue package announced by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to safeguard cultural and heritage organisations across the UK from the economic impact of COVID-19.
The second round of the Culture Recovery Fund looks forward to the spring and early summer when it is expected that cultural organisations will be able to operate with fewer restrictions.
Grants of between £10,000 and £3m are available to support organisations to transition from the challenging months of lockdowns and social distancing to resume business activity and welcome back visitors.
The grants are intended to support heritage organisations with the costs associated with shortfalls in income during the period April-June 2021, whilst they are working towards restarting normal operations or business.
A range of heritage organisations can apply including local authorities, universities and other public-sector bodies that manage heritage sites, venues or attractions, as well as not-for-profit heritage organisations, private owners of heritage sites that are open to the public, and businesses in the heritage sector.
