Crowdfunder: extra funding

Crowdfunder is the UK’s largest crowdfunding website and is used by businesses, charities, people in need, community groups and sports clubs to get funding from people who support their project ideas.

Projects which raise money through Crowdfunder could be eligible for more money on top of what they raise from “the crowd”, depending on what they’re doing or where they’re doing it. A number of organisations across the UK have joined forces with Crowdfunder to offer extra funding to projects which are successful with their crowdfunding campaign, these include:

Santander: Changemaker
Up to £10,000 to help social enterprises, small charities and community groups to deliver projects in the UK that create innovative solutions to improve communities.  Santander will provide the final 50% to help projects reach their target. Funding coming soon

Arts Council England: Artists + the Crowd
Up to £20,000 (or 50% of funding target) for artists and arts organisations raising between £4,000 and £40,000 on Crowdfunder. Fund coming soon

Heritage Lottery Fund: Heritage + the Crowd
Support for heritage projects across the UK that are looking to raise between £4,000 and £40,000.

Big Society Capital
Match funding for crowdfunded investments made by individuals into Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) eligible charities and social enterprises. Crowdfunder can match up to £100,000 of a community share issue with funds from Big Society Capital

Plymouth City Council
Plymouth City Council could grant up £20,000 or 50% of the funding target to support projects that help improve the city of Plymouth and make it a great place to live, work and play

Plutus PowerGen
Funding for educational, sporting and infrastructure projects that will have a lasting impact on Plymouth and in the Ernesettle area. Plutus PowerGen could pledge up to 75% of the project target, up to £10,000.

Axa Road Safety
Axa will match fund the project target, when it is reached, providing up to £2,000 for community-led projects that aim to improve local road safety.
