Focus of fund/fund aims:

To improve uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine by engaging with groups and communities in Devon where uptake of the vaccine is low

Application deadline:

The programme is expected to run until March 2022 subject to available funding

Fund description:

Funding is available for the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to help improve uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in our most vulnerable communities. The fund has been set up by the Integrated Care System for Devon, a partnership of organisations that provide health and care services in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.

Voluntary and community organisations can apply for a grant to run innovative engagement activities to support uptake of the COVID-19 vaccination activities; designed to support groups where uptake of the vaccine has been lower than in others. This includes ethnic minority communities, migrant workers, people who are experiencing homelessness, people with learning disabilities, neurodiversity and mental illness, the LGBTQ+ community and younger people.

Activities can include drop-in events, communication support materials, employee time, workshops, and necessary equipment to run the activities etc.

There are two levels of grant:

  • Level one: Up to £1,000 per bid.
  • Level two: £1,000-£5,000 per bid.

The programme is running until the end of March 2022, although limited funds are available and will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
