Focus of fund/fund aims:
Emergency funding and support with digital technologies to help not-for-profit organisations to adapt their services for vulnerable communities and share what they learn
Application deadline:
Discovery - 7 September 2020. Development - 20 September 2020 (a second phase of 'Development' will open in October)
Fund description:
Not-for-profit organisations delivering charitable activities to vulnerable communities in England can apply for a combination of direct grants and payment for support from digital agencies.
This fund is aimed at organisations whose work has been affected by COVID-19 and who need emergency funding to continue to deliver essential services. It will support them to develop the digital, data and design capabilities that allow them to address urgent issues and serve the most vulnerable.
Funding is available through two phases:
Discovery – four weeks of funding and support to understand and research the problem you are trying to address, with a £5,000 grant to cover your staff costs
Development – ten weeks of funding and support to develop a solution to the problem you have identified and validated during the Discovery phase. The Development phase includes up to £60,000, which will be a mix of grant funding and support from a digital agency/expert.
Organisations participating in this programme must be part of a formal or informal network of ten or more other charities committed to proactively sharing learning from the programme within their group.
