Fund title: Community Leisure Recovery Fund
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants to enable community-owned leisure centres to re-open and become viable once lockdown restrictions are lifted
29 April 2021
Sport England has opened a new funding programme for community-run leisure facilities.
The Community Leisure Recovery Fund is available to support the difference between income and expenditure for the period of 1 April to 30 September 2021. The maximum grant is £50,000.
The grants are for organisations that provide a general leisure offer – for example, a mix of swimming, sports hall, fitness, health and wellbeing and other facilities. The funding is for facilities that are open to all members of the community and so cannot be used to support member-only clubs.
