Access for All funding forms part of the Government’s Inclusive Transport Strategy to improve the accessibility of Great Britain’s railway. This funding is specifically targeted at providing improvements at stations which will enable more disabled people to access the rail network.
Applications can be made for the new Mid-Tier Programme which will support smaller scale access improvements as well as projects to improve integrated accessible transport solutions.
The amount of Government funding available is up to £1,000,000 per project. This is for projects which have reached a credible stage in development having completed all necessary feasibility studies and after identification of other funding sources, including funding for operational, maintenance and renewal costs.
Access for All grants are only available for stations owned by Network Rail.
