Audit of accounts – Public notice


Devon County Council and Devon Pension Fund Audit of Accounts, year ended 31 March 2024
Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 and the Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and 2022

Notice is given that in accordance with Regulation 10 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Authority publishes the audited accounts of Devon County Council and Devon Pension Fund together with the Independent Auditors’ Reports for 2023/24.

Unqualified opinions on the financial statements for 2023/24 were issued on 28 October 2024.

The Independent Auditors are unable to formally conclude the audit and issue an audit certificate for Devon County Council for 2023/24 in accordance with the requirements of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (the Act) and the Code of Audit Practice until they have completed their work necessary to issue their consistency statement on the Pension Fund Annual Report. 

Any local government elector for the area of the Council has a right to:

  • inspect and make copies of the statements of accounts.  If the on-line version is not readily accessible to you in the format you require then please contact devonfinanceservices-mailbox@devon.gov.uk or the address below or call 01392 383311 and accessibility requirements can be explored; and
  • obtain copies of the statements of account on payment of a reasonable sum for each copy.  This sum may be waived if the format of the Statement of Accounts on the website does not meet an individual’s accessibility requirements.
