We argue that this is an unacceptable tragedy that must be stopped. Thousands of schools, organisations, emergency services, campaigners and communities show their support by signing up and taking part in Road Safety Week 2026, reaching millions across the UK through events, fundraising, media coverage and social media.

Safe People on the Move theme

Each year Road Safety Week focuses on one pillar of the safe systems approach to road safety – a shared approach to prevent death and serious injury from road crashes. In 2026 the charity is exploring safe road users and how we all have a shared responsibility to use our roads safely whoever we are, and however we travel.

Whether we walk, wheel, ride or drive, we all share our roads when we are on the move. We all play a part in keeping ourselves and others safe, and those with the potential to do the most harm must have the greatest responsibility to protect those people who are more vulnerable on our roads.

Taking part – how you can get involved

There are lots of different ways you can support this campaign. Sign up for Road Safety Week to take part. By doing so you’ll receive all our email updates, and links to this year’s activities and resources.

Road Safety Week 2026 is delivered by Brake, the road safety charity and sponsored by Hastings Direct, National Accident Helpline and Waymo.

Find out more at www.brake.org.uk/roadsafetyweek.

Road Safety Week campaign takes place from 15 to 21 November 2026.
