{"id":20360,"date":"2026-09-03T10:24:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T09:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=20360"},"modified":"2026-09-03T12:16:50","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T11:16:50","slug":"academic-calendar-2026-27-updated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/academic-calendar-2026-27-updated\/","title":{"rendered":"Academic calendar 2026\/27 &#8211; updated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The academic calendar for 2026\/27 is now available in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/for-providers\/business-finance-and-funding\/resource-documents\/\">resource documents<\/a> under \u2018Early years funding \u2013 all ages\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that we have changed the headcount week for Spring 2027 to align with the spring census week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spring Headcount week is now 17th to 23rd January 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The calendar is intended to be used as a guide as providers can set their own term dates within each funding period. The funding periods remain the same each year as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Autumn: 1st September to 31st December<\/li>\n<li>Spring: 1st January to 31st March<\/li>\n<li>Summer: 1st April to 31st August<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do set termly funding caps (as shown on the calendar) to try to prevent children running out of funding prior to the end of the summer funding period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The academic calendar for 2026\/27 is now available to view on our website.
