The aim is to gather feedback on how this process can be clear, efficient, and effective for all users.<\/p>\n<h2>Strategic context<\/h2>\n<p>The proposal reflects national expectations that Early Years systems should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enable early identification and support<\/li>\n<li>Reduce unnecessary complexity and duplication<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen inclusive practice within settings<\/li>\n<li>Promote a clear graduated response<\/li>\n<li>Support joined-up working across services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Core principles of the EYI:SRfS model<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>One clear route for requesting support<\/li>\n<li>Early intervention to prevent escalation of needs<\/li>\n<li>Consistency in how requests are considered<\/li>\n<li>Transparency in decision-making and next steps<\/li>\n<li>Strength-based working<\/li>\n<li>Focus on Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) and Ordinarily Available Targeted Support (OATS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is being proposed?<\/h2>\n<p>A single, consistent access route for requests from Early Years settings, schools, parents\/carers, partner agencies (including health professionals), and Devon County Council teams.<\/p>\n<h2>What support can be accessed?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting based support to develop practice and support the implementation of OAIP and OATS in your setting<\/li>\n<li>SEN Inclusion funding<\/li>\n<li>Home-based support e.g. Early Years Inclusion Team (previously EYCN)<\/li>\n<li>Advice and guidance<\/li>\n<li>Group-based approaches<\/li>\n<li>Individual child support e.g. Nursery Plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Who can access support?<\/h2>\n<p>Requests can be made by settings, parents\/carers, and professionals including health partners. The type of support will depend on level of need, provision in place, and context.<\/p>\n<h2>How requests will be considered (triage process)<\/h2>\n<p>Requests will be reviewed to understand needs, existing provision, and outcomes.
