{"id":19723,"date":"2026-04-30T09:42:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T08:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=19723"},"modified":"2026-04-30T10:42:51","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T09:42:51","slug":"funding-friday-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/funding-friday-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Community Care Fund<\/h2>\n<p>Caremark is offering three awards of \u00a33,000 each to community projects that bring people together and make a positive difference.<\/p>\n<p>Projects can include improving a play area, supplies for a community garden, equipment for inclusive sports or activity groups, supporting a food bank or revamping a village hall.<\/p>\n<p>The grants are intended to support activities that create lasting local impact and address community needs through accessible and practical improvements.<\/p>\n<p>The competition is open to UK-based community groups, charities, not-for-profit organisations, schools, pre-schools, and community-run or local authority\u2013run projects. The application can be submitted by anyone over 18: you will need to supply a short description of the project and explain how a \u00a33,000 grant would benefit your community.<\/p>\n<p>The final decision on the winning projects will be through a public vote on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: 31 May 2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caremark.co.uk\/community-care-fund\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Community Care Fund | Caremark<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Clark Foundation<\/h2>\n<p>Not-for-profit organisations with a community project in Plymouth or Barnstaple can apply to the Clark Foundation for a capital grant towards building or equipment costs. The funding can be used for the following types of projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>health and wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>village halls and community centres<\/li>\n<li>countryside<\/li>\n<li>the arts<\/li>\n<li>heritage and churches<\/li>\n<li>education<\/li>\n<li>youth groups<\/li>\n<li>sport and leisure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can apply for a community grant for any amount over \u00a31,000: most grants are for less than \u00a310,000. You can also apply for a small community grant of between \u00a3250 and \u00a31,000.<\/p>\n<p>Not-for-profit organisations can apply, including registered charities, CICs, schools and local councils.<\/p>\n<p>The Clark Foundation only accepts applications from not-for-profit organisations based in Somerset, Plymouth, Barnstaple or Kendal.<\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: Apply any time for a small grant. The next deadlines for grants over \u00a31,000 are 15 May 2026, 15 August 2026 and 15 November 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theclarkfoundation.org.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Home &#8211; Clark Foundation | Est. 1959<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>The Garfield Weston Foundation<\/h2>\n<p>The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest UK grant-making foundations, supporting charities across the UK with donations totalling around \u00a3100m each year.<\/p>\n<p>Most grants from the foundation are in the range of \u00a310,000 to \u00a350,000 but smaller and larger grants can be awarded, including major grants of over \u00a3100,000.
