This assessment support brings together guidance, videos, practical examples and key messages for anyone who completes the EYFS profile assessment, as well as senior leaders.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/reception-networks\/reception-networks\" rel=\"noopener\">Reception networks<\/a> are part of the government\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/beststartinlife.gov.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Best Start in Life<\/a>\u00a0strategy and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/regional-improvement-for-standards-and-excellence-rise\" rel=\"noopener\">regional improvement for standards and excellence (RISE)<\/a>\u00a0universal offer to help schools improve the quality of reception-year provision.<\/p>\n<p>They are school-led, locally delivered networks focused on sharing strong,\u00a0evidence-informed\u00a0reception practice.<\/p>\n<p>Each network is led by a reception-network lead school. Lead schools have sustained strengths in early years provision and leadership, and support other schools in their local area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/early-years-foundation-stage-profile-assessment-support?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=govuk-notifications-topic&amp;utm_source=e8fd9e8e-44c4-4217-86fd-b691e10c0d04&amp;utm_content=immediately\" rel=\"noopener\">Early years foundation stage profile assessment support &#8211; GOV.UK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The support aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>develop practitioners\u2019 and leaders\u2019 knowledge and expertise<\/li>\n<li>address common misconceptions about the assessment requirements<\/li>\n<li>improve the reliability of EYFS profile assessment data<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening assessment practice will support children\u2019s successful transition to Year 1.
