As mentioned in a previous Digest<\/a> the safeguarding and child protection core (for all early years and childcare practitioners) \u2013 eLearning training is now available to book on the\u00a0Devon Education Services Shop: Early Years and Childcare: Safeguarding and Child Protection Core (all early years and childcare practitioners) online learning course | DES<\/a><\/p>\n The eLearning package has been updated<\/strong> to make it more early years focussed. It has been developed alongside Annex C (criteria for effective safeguarding training) of the September 2025 Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, ensuring early years practitioners are fully prepared to implement the new safeguarding standards.<\/p>\n As mentioned previously, if you have recently completed the older version of the eLearning from the DEL training website, this will be sufficient.<\/p>\n The safeguarding and child protection core (for all early years and childcare practitioners) training is also available as an online course (virtual delivery by Microsoft Teams) and as an in-person (face to face) course: Early Years and Childcare: Safeguarding and Child Protection Core (all early years and childcare practitioners) | DES<\/a><\/p>\n Please note that\u00a0from September 2025\u00a0safeguarding training will need to be updated\u00a0every two years<\/strong>, rather than the current three-year cycle.<\/em><\/p>\n We are excited to announce that the LADO training is now available on the Devon Education Services Shop: EYCS: Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) online learning | DES<\/a><\/p>\n (it was previously only available from the DEL training website).<\/p>\n This video will give you the essential knowledge and understanding required to manage and respond to allegations appropriately, in line with the statutory guidance outlined in Annex C of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).<\/p>\n You can book onto an early years and childcare safeguarding course by visiting the Devon Education Services website:\u00a0\u00a0Early years, childcare, wraparound childcare advice and training | DES.<\/a><\/p>\n If you are unsure which safeguarding training you should undertake to fulfil your role, please refer to our handy guide\u00a0Safeguarding training \u2013 Information for childcare providers<\/a><\/p>\n You will need a Shop account in order to book onto a course.
