{"id":18345,"date":"2025-07-17T10:26:30","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T09:26:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=18345"},"modified":"2025-07-17T10:26:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T09:26:30","slug":"important-safeguarding-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/important-safeguarding-message\/","title":{"rendered":"Important safeguarding message"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve been made aware of a WhatsApp group called\u00a0\u201cAdd everybody you know\u201d\u00a0that is circulating inappropriate content, including explicit images, memes and videos.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, some children from our school communities may be part of this group.<\/p>\n<p>There are many potential safeguarding risks associated with this WhatsApp group, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unmoderated content being shared, which may be inappropriate or harmful<\/li>\n<li>Exposure of personal information of children and young people to unknown individuals<\/li>\n<li>Potential grooming or exploitation risks due to the open and indiscriminate nature of the group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We strongly advise that you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alert staff, parents, and carers to the existence of this group and the associated risks<\/li>\n<li>Ask parents to check their child\u2019s WhatsApp today to ensure that they are not part of this group.
