{"id":18028,"date":"2025-05-22T11:15:03","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T10:15:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=18028"},"modified":"2025-05-22T11:15:55","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T10:15:55","slug":"check-an-early-years-qualification-service-available-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/check-an-early-years-qualification-service-available-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Check an early years qualification service \u2013 available now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Early years and childcare managers can now use the new <a href=\"https:\/\/check-an-early-years-qualification.service.gov.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">check an early years qualification<\/a> digital service to quickly verify whether staff qualifications meet the requirements for staff:child ratios in England.<\/p>\n<p>The new service can be accessed at: <a href=\"https:\/\/check-an-early-years-qualification.service.gov.uk\/?utm_source=devon&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=la\" rel=\"noopener\">Start &#8211; Check an Early Years qualification<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This free GOV.\u200bUK tool allows managers to check a qualification\u2019s approval status by entering key details such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>course start date<\/li>\n<li>level<\/li>\n<li>awarding organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the end of the process, a clear outcome is provided, which can be printed for your records.<\/p>\n<h2>Why use the new service?<\/h2>\n<p>Using the new Check an early years qualification service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>saves time during recruitment and HR processes<\/li>\n<li>supports workforce planning ahead of the September 2025 expansion of funded childcare entitlements<\/li>\n<li>reduces confusion when checking qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The service is tailored specifically for early years managers. All other user groups (for example practitioners) should continue to use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england\" rel=\"noopener\">Early Years Qualifications List (EYQL)<\/a> to check qualifications, and contact our supplier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enic.org.uk\/individuals\/early-years\" rel=\"noopener\">Ecctis<\/a> if they are unable to find the qualification on the EYQL.<\/p>\n<p>The Check an early years qualification service is for qualifications achieved in the UK.
