{"id":17833,"date":"2025-05-01T11:00:23","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=17833"},"modified":"2025-05-01T11:00:59","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T10:00:59","slug":"reporting-critical-incidents-in-schools-and-early-years-settings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/reporting-critical-incidents-in-schools-and-early-years-settings\/","title":{"rendered":"Reporting critical incidents in schools and early years settings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following a critical incident that occurred last week in Exeter, we are taking this opportunity to remind you of the process for reporting a Critical Incident impacting a school or early years and childcare setting.<\/p>\n<p>If a school or early years and childcare setting has experienced a Critical Incident, it is important that the Local Authority are notified immediately so that any relevant support can be coordinated and put in place as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>When reporting a Critical Incident impacting a school or educational setting, please download and complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/devoncc.sharepoint.com\/:w:\/s\/PublicDocs\/Education\/EarJfw5lhaFBq4dplyY8ZeIBoFrOPUKBIYMpb_rzafKNCQ?e=iGPun6&amp;wdLOR=cB85473F1-DBE6-4665-A425-8D24CE036359\" rel=\"noopener\">Critical Incident Form<\/a>\u00a0and send it to Children\u2019s Social Care \u2018Front Door\u2019\u00a0(MASH) mailbox:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:multiagencysafeguardinghubsecure-mailbox@devon.gov.uk\">multiagencysafeguardinghubsecure-mailbox@devon.gov.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please also make the Devon Early Years and Childcare Service aware by emailing: <a href=\"mailto:eycs@devon.gov.uk\">eycs@devon.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you require an urgent response, please telephone MASH on 0345 155 1071.
