{"id":17794,"date":"2025-04-24T11:21:14","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:21:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/?p=17794"},"modified":"2025-04-24T11:55:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:55:16","slug":"ofsted-consultation-into-inspection-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/eycs\/ofsted-consultation-into-inspection-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Ofsted consultation into inspection changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ofsted has launched a consultation on a new approach to inspection and reporting on education providers, including early years providers.<\/p>\n<p>The proposals include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introducing new report cards to give parents a broader picture across different areas of practice<\/li>\n<li>Removing the \u2018single word\u2019 overall effectiveness grade and introducing a new 5-point grading scale across different areas. This scale ranges from \u2018causing concern\u2019 at the lowest end, through \u2018attention needed\u2019, \u2018secure\u2019, \u2018strong\u2019, and \u2018exemplary\u2019 at the highest end<\/li>\n<li>A new focus on inclusion and vulnerability and support for disadvantaged children and learners, including those with\u202fSEND<\/li>\n<li>Inspections will take into account providers\u2019 individual circumstance and local context<\/li>\n<li>Inspectors will use new education inspection toolkits to tailor inspections based on different types of providers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information and \/ or to respond to the consultation see: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/improving-the-way-ofsted-inspects-education\" rel=\"noopener\">Improving the way Ofsted inspects education &#8211; GOV.UK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing date to respond is Monday 28th April 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ofsted has launched a consultation on a new approach to inspection and reporting on education providers, including early years providers.
