Tooth\u202fdecay\u202fcan be very painful, cause\u202fproblems with eating and sleeping and stop children attending early years settings.<\/p>\n<p>There is a requirement within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2\" rel=\"noopener\">Early Years Foundation Stage Framework<\/a> (EYFS for group and school based providers: 3.51) (EYFS for childminders:3.50) to promote good oral health to children and supervised toothbrushing programmes are an effective way to do this.<\/p>\n<p>To make sure more children get to benefit from taking part in supervised toothbrushing programmes a new website\u202fhas been developed, as part of a national research project, to include resources needed by all those involved in getting toothbrushing programmes set-up and running well: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supervisedtoothbrushing.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">HOME | Supervised Toothbrushing Toolkit<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Oral Health Improvement training (virtual)<\/h2>\n<p>A fully funded 2 hour virtual session for early years and childcare practitioners and out of school practitioners about the importance of oral health.
